Buried in the Woods examines true crime stories about unfortunate victims found buried in the woods. When the remains are unearthed, it’s the very beginning of an investigation, police piece together the person's identity and determine the cause of death before seeking the individual responsible.
Kristin Huggins, a 22-year-old artist from Bucks County, Pennsylvania, disappeared on December 17, 1992, while heading to a private club in Trenton to work on a mural. Her remains were found on February 18, 1993, buried in a shallow grave in a wooded area near Trenton.
Peggy Carothers was a 15-year-old girl from Hammond, Indiana, who was brutally beaten and buried alive in the woods near her high school in 1997.
